Climate Centre is a non-profit that launched in January 2023. We work to address the gap in mainstream voices on climate-related issues.

Our team holds a combined background in environmental journalism, media and public relations, along with the ambition to deliver a better understanding of the complex issues around the transition to a low-carbon world.

Ben Jackson

Ben is our Director, and a journalist who has covered climate and environment issues internationally and domestically since 2009.

He was previously Editorial Director for the public relations company, freuds, where he advised many of the world’s leading businesses and NGOs.

He was the first Environment Editor of The Sun, reporting first hand from around the world for five years, including the Arctic, the Sahel, and the Amazon. He was previously the paper’s Features Editor.

Skye Kobos

Skye is our Head of Strategy, and a corporate and sustainability communications specialist, holding award-winning experience across a range of industries.

Skye has advised some of the world’s largest organisations and leading business figures, delivering actionable solutions in the form of effective corporate and sustainability strategy.

Skye was most recently an Associate Director focused on sustainability & behaviour change at Ketchum and was previously an ESG consultant at Kekst CNC, as well as working on a wide variety of clients at freuds.

Joshua Robinson

Josh is our Communications Associate and specialist focusing on decarbonising energy and home heating. He brings experience in journalism and campaigning to offer a unique perspective to climate and environment storytelling.

He works with key voices to write opinion pieces and draft press releases, and he collaborates with experts and stakeholders in the energy sector to create messaging briefs for use in bringing the subject to the forefront in media.

Elizabeth Murphy

Elizabeth is our Communications Associate and drives our communications and media work, specialising in farming and agricultural industries and how they interact with climate change and net-zero policies.

She joined Climate Centre as our first-ever intern in 2023 and we were fortunate enough to welcome her to a full-time role in 2024. Elizabeth works with spokespeople across the UK and uses her background in literature to craft compelling narratives for the agricultural, climate, and environmental sectors.
